The land on which Red Level is now set was purchased on November 5, 1909. The date the original building of Red Level Baptist Church was established is unknown.
As the building aged, it deteriorated. The church leaders prepared to build a new sanctuary in the present location, within yards of the original church. The church was rebuilt in 1956 under the leadership of the late Rev. L. W. Walker.
Ministers prior to Rev. Walker were the late Rev. R. H. Sturdivant, the late Rev. J. B. Crowder, and the late Rev. W. T. Bailey (not necessarily in that order).
The late Rev. L. W. Walker served as pastor for several years. Other former pastors of Red Level were the late Rev. Chester Thompson, Rev. Nathan Blackwell, and Rev. D. W. Gatewood.
Today, Red Level Baptist Church is under the leadership of Pastor Norris Quinn.
